Learn More About This Project

KAUT-TV, built in Oklahoma City, OK in 1982, was REES’ first qualified sustainable design. Though what became known as sustainable principles were implemented on projects from the very beginning of the firm’s existence, KAUT was the first project that assembled several strategies into one project.

  • About REES Earth

REES has more than a 30-year history of providing energy efficient facilities with components and systems that are now considered “sustainable” or “green.” Our commitment to environmentally responsible design permeates our firm culture; currently, two-thirds of our design and technical staff are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professionals (LEED®AP). In addition, the President and all Vice Presidents of REES are LEED Accredited. The REES team employs a comprehensive and interactive design process to analyze and evaluate opportunities for sustainable architecture and design strategies on our projects. During this process, REES works with team members as well as the client to plan and design high performance, energy efficient and environmentally responsible facilities. While versed at using the LEED rating system as a tool to measure results, a formalized rating system is not required.
